Taproom Initiative

At Pretty Decent Beer Co, we work to ensure our venues are inclusive and accessible to all and that everyone who enters our venues feels welcome regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, health, race, religion, disability or age.  

We have a zero tolerance approach to abuse in any form. All of our team, and all of our customers, should treat people fairly and equally. Everywhere at Pretty Decent - whether this be work spaces or customer venues - should be a safe, welcome and comfortable place for all. 

We believe that Beer is for Everyone. And as such, we have set out the following statements to support our team and our customers in upholding these values. 

  • Pretty Decent will not accept any form of discrimination, on any grounds. This is included but not limited to sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, race, religion, social class or health 
  • Pretty Decent will exclude anyone from any of our sites if they display discriminatory behaviour in any form
  • Customers who engage in conversations involving derogatory comments, words or phrases which make other customers uncomfortable will be warned once. If it continues they will be asked to leave. 
  • Any and all discriminatory comments made to staff, customers or visitors at any of our sites will result in immediate removal from the site and a possible lifetime ban. 
  • Staff and customers are expected to maintain appropriate physical boundaries at all times. Any form of inappropriate or unwelcome touching—whether physical or suggestive—will result in removal from the venue
  • We will always seek to protect our staff and customers. In the event of any form of discrimination or concern for safety please talk to our staff members or a member of management at any point. They will offer you discrete help and ensure your well being. If you witness any form discrimination or inappropriate behaviour in the Pretty Decent workplace, please inform the closest member of management immediately. 
  • If you feel any member of our staff or management hasn’t dealt with your concern appropriately or with sufficient urgency, please contact Sarah Casey as soon as possible on sarah@prettydecentbeer.co
