Taproom Supervisor - Blackhorse Road

Role: Taproom Supervisor 

Main Purpose: To oversee the management of sales of beer through PDBC taproom 

Location: Unit 10, Uplands Business Park E17 5QJ with potential to work across sites where necessary.

Hours: 20-30 hours a week, with additional shifts available when cover is required. Wednesday to Sunday

These hours are subject to change depending on the needs of the business. 

Salary : £14 an hour, annual increase in line with London Living Wage

Reports to: Taproom Manager

Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Be able to open and set up the taproom and close on non-core shifts.

- Lead the team you are on shift with in the absence of the taproom manager.

- Manage bookings through our booking system.

- Ensure an atmosphere that is inclusive and welcoming to everyone who comes in.

- Maintain overall cleanliness of taproom - ensuring cleaning rotas are maintained and the venue meets environmental health standards

- Providing exceptional customer service in line with code of conduct and providing beer knowledge to customers where required

- Assist in the management of the cellar to ensure all beers pouring correctly and lines cleaned

- Someone who can speak confidently and openly about our beer and what we’re trying to do at PDBC, bringing customers into the fold and on the journey with us

- A person with experience running shifts and able to motivate members of the team.

- Someone who is able to safely open and close the venue and is confident and proactive in being able to work on their own at times.

- Knowledge on the basics of cellaring (e.g. line cleaning) preferable but not required.

- Good organisational skills.
